Is it the magic of youthful eyes that you glance with, or is it intoxication
Or have you stolen the artistry of magic from Babylon
And could those litters have borne branches
That have turned green in the leaves of their greenness
And why is a visit to the lonely deserts forbidden
Except to the obstinate loner
It's enough of sorrow that you don't visit between us
Except by the imagination that flows
And I crossed a desert as vast as the edges of the meadows
With a caravan as noble as the feathered arrows
And the horizon has split open about the heart of its full moon
As they spread out the page about the tenth
And I was not pleased but by the doves of stars
That circle from dawn and overlook the river
When my brave steeds reach the door of the most glorious
No twisting back from them on the road
A leader whom if you seek help from in adversity
He decides it with white uncompromising determination
Giving like the pouring rain pouring from the clouds
And resolve like the flaming embers
He swears with his right hand that his right hand spills
Good fortune and that his left hand flows with ease
I will carry to him from my thoughts subtleties
Of poetry that excuses the one who falls short
I have lowered with it my longings until it is as though
If it raised me now from the prepositions of attachment
