The lightning of bashfulness flashed,
The lightning of shyness flashed,
and the rain of eyes came pouring down.
and the eyes' rain came pouring down,
Love’s garden smiled open, revealing
and the garden of love broke into a smile, baring
the radiance of youth and amorous verse.
the light of youth and love-play,
And stirred the boughs of those graceful
and the boughs of their willowy
figures—the warbling of jewelry’s birds.
statures were shaken by the cooing birds of their jewels,
And the grove of pleasure bowed beneath
and the spreading tree of revelry bowed low beneath
the burden of the fruits of joy.
the burden of the fruits of joy.
