1. ولو عَدَّدْتَ مالَكَ من أَيادٍ

    لأَفنَيْتُ الطُّروسَ ولم أُوَفِّ

    If I were to enumerate the favors you have bestowed,

    I would exhaust the scrolls and still not do them justice.

  2. أَلَسْتَ مُحَكِّمِي في بحرِ جُودٍ

    لَدَيْكَ جَعَلْتَهُ في بَطْنِ كَفِّي

    Are you not the one who gave me mastery over a sea of bounty

    that lies with you—which I gathered into the hollow of my palm?

  3. وعندي كُلُّ يَوْمٍ منكَ عُرفٌ

    يفوحُ له الثَّناءُ بِكُلِّ عَرْفِ

    And every day I receive a favor from you,

    for which praise wafts with every fragrance.
