Our master's ink, his palm is ever overflowing
Bestowing life's abundance on its gathering place
With blessings spreading, the valleys receiving
To the mountaintops, to the valley's core
Where virtue gathers, forever and ever
The greatest of floods is at its confluence
You see enemies fear his might
Whoever has seen the torrent fears its lion
I said, when I saw him downcast
The hopeful attained what was in his hopes
A garment I had, tailor-made spacious
Against the heat, the perfect cut and make
I made it to last seasons, proper for summer and winter alike
And tell of its heyday
Like family in eulogy, like light, like egg white
It appears like lightning in its gleam
The wind makes it ruffle and clatter
Humiliating it, though made for armor
I wore it proudly all my days
During holidays and gatherings
If you won't aid me to redeem it
What can I do to untie the knot?
Quickly lend a helpful hand
For the best charity is swift
Don't leave me bereft but for you
For who but you sees food as bargain
Like a mirage he appears
Always in his pretenses and tricks
When in need, a man seeks
None but the generous among his ilk
And I will dress your stature in honor's robes
Of eulogy's fabric, the finest spun
You love what I wear, in spectators' eyes
And this is time for listening ears
