ذَكر الرَّكْبَ الذي نَزَحا
فاسْتَحَمَّ الدَّمْعَ وانْتَزَحَا
He recalled the caravan that departed
So he shed tears and took leave
وشَجَاهُ رَسْمُ عاطِلَةٍ
قَلَّدَتْها عَيْنُه وشَجَا
And her traces pained him
His eyes imagined her and pained him
نَزَحَتْ عنها جآذِرُها
فَتَشَكَّى رَبْعُها البُرَحا
Her roots departed from her
So her once verdant abode withered
تيَّمَتْ قَلْبَ السَّحابِ بها
وأَراها أَدمُعاً سُفُحا
The heart of clouds mourned for her
And showed her copious tears
وانثنت بالنوى عاصية
نون دال من برحا
She turned away defiantly to travel
The letter Noon joined Dal in Birca
كأَثافيها حمائِمُها
أَوَ لَيْسُوا بالنَّوى صُدُحا
Like her doves mourning her
Are they not in Nawa loud wailers?
