لقد قرَّ طرف مصلٍّ بمصر

بمسجدِ هذا الكريم انجذب

I saw the eye of a worshipper drawn

To this noble mosque, pulled by awe,

ودار النحاس به غيرت

فصارت لعمريَ دار الذهب

The Copper House was changed by it

And became for me a House of Gold
