شكراً لقاضي القضاة ما طلعت

شمسٌ ومدّت سجوفها ظلَم

Thanks to the Judge of judges, never

Rose a sun nor stretched its twilight gloom

يبلغها شاكر الجميل كما

تبلغنا في جنابه النّعم

But the grateful for favors would reach Him

As His blessings reach us in plentitude.

لفظٌ وفضلٌ كلاهما ذهبٌ

فكل أوقاته لنا كرم

His words and His grace are as gold to us,

And all His times for us are bounty.
