رويت بالمنهلِ السعدي بعد ظما

أضنى من الحال معدومي وموجودي

I passed by the blessed spring after thirst

Whether present or absent, I'm still in distress

حتى يغني الرَّجا بشراك يا ظمإي

سعد السعود ومجري الماء في العود

Until your container quenches my thirst, O Thirst!
