يا قمراً قد سام عشَّاقه

خسفاً بهجرانٍ وإبعاد

O moon whom your lovers have excelled

Eclipsed by estrangement and distancing

أضلَّنا الحبُّ ولكن لنا

نعم الإمامُ الرَّاشد الهادِي

Love has led us astray but we have

A right-guided leader to guide us

بهاء دين الله نجل الأولى

سموا بأنصارٍ وأنجاد

The beauty of God's faith, son of the foremost

Soaring with supporters and soldiers

ذو العلم ألقوه إلى نجلِهم

لا نجلَ صبَّاغٍ وحدَّاد

The knowledgeable one passed it to their son

Not to a dyer or blacksmith's son

في الدِّين والدُّنيا لنا برّه

من قبلِ إنشاءٍ وإنشاد

For our sake, his righteousness in faith and world

Since inception and reciting poems

أنجدنا جوداً فأمداحنا

ما بين إتِّهامٍ وإنجاد

He helped us with his generosity so our praises

Between blaming and praising
