يا رُبّ ظبيٍ على ظبيٍ ظفرت به

فقام إيري مقام الطاعن اللبق

O Lord of a gazelle I have overcome a gazelle

So my spear took the place of the elegant assailant

وكاد يخترق الإثنين ذاك لذا

كالفعل ينصب مفعولين في نسق

And it almost pierced both of them, that one because

Like a verb takes two objects in syntax
