    so for you to burn it with fire is wondrous indeed.

  2. Your glance is an arrow that cannot be turned aside—how welcome

    the arrow—and allotted share—your glance has within my vitals!

  3. O you who blame me, I patiently bear the words you repeat;

    and I shall remain so long as Mount ʿAsīb stands.

  4. Made a stranger by love amid the wondrous strangeness of your beauties—

    and every stranger is kindred to a stranger.
