Sol 5.6

  1. A guardian has come to us, bearing abundance;

    under his justice, every frightened soul finds safety.

  2. So Damascus today—and all the world as one—

    are filled with manifold forms and kinds of congratulation:

  3. a garden beneath the shadow of an advancing sword;

    and so are gardens beneath the shadows of swords.
