ومطالع السعديّ في أُفق العُلى

والملك نعم القصد والحركات

And al-Saʿdī’s dawnings are on the horizon of exalted heights;

And the king—how excellent his intention and his actions!

من حيث يرقم إسمه وفعالهُ

فالعزُّ والإقبال والبركات

Wherever his name and his deeds are inscribed,

There follow glory, good fortune, and blessings.
