من مبلغ الأدباء أن يدي

ظفرت بوافي الودّ موفور

The literati have informed that my hand

Has attained abundant affection

ووجدت في أفق البيان هدىً

لما نزلت بجانب الطور

And I found in the horizon of rhetoric, guidance

When I descended by the side of Mount Sinai
