To the crescent moon of the state, Al-Hasan the soldier

Every narrator contained beauty and nearness in him

Oh, his passing eyelid and his red cheek

My friend Qays and you are Yemeni

Oh, his raiding beauty triumphed over the enemy

Even if your two enemies were the moon

Oh, his waist without his buttocks

From afar both heavinesses are thrown beneath it

If only my poetry described when the waist embraced

And they reconciled on the hilltops

Camphor is the body's wealth of beauty

The unaffectionates are not unaffectionate to him

May God fulfill, O Camphor, you are the first

No judge shall see a second like you

How many lovers, O doe, whose hearts you left

Flying freely like the wings of a good omen

Guide of desire, when you glanced you killed it

With the weakest horn in the lowest place

Oh, you who my heart and eyes long for

    Not for Mansur or Mu'an

Why do you care for swords and spears

While your neck is stabbed without teeth
