يا فاضلاً حمدت منه مودّته

O virtuous one, I praise his affection

And his beautiful listening to the eloquent praiser

عندِي عقود ثناً لم ترج جائزة

فهل لجيدك في عقدٍ بلا ثمن

I have necklaces of praise that have not been rewarded

So does your generosity have a string with no price?
