إلهي سلمتُ من الضربِ في

بلادٍ لعيشي فيها حرَج

My God, I have endured affliction in

Lands where my livelihood was constrained

وأرجو الخلاص فقرّب به

لباب السلامة باب الفرج

And I hope for deliverance, so bring me near

To the door of safety, the door of relief
