ما انقطع المملوك عن ترداده

وأنت تدري أن ذاك ممتنع

The slave does not cease his supplication,

And you know well that this is implausible,

فالحمد لله على علمك يا

مولايَ إني بشرٌ لا ينقطع

So praise be to God for your knowledge, my Master,

I am but a human, never ceasing.
