رقّ المديح فحاز أوفر حقّه

A servant who prays to you as often as he can

His praise was so sincere he got what he deserved

ووعدته وعداً ستملكه بهِ

وتكون في الحالين مالك رقَّه

You promised him with a pledge that will make him yours

And in both worlds, you'll be the owner of his neck
