تهنّ بها بيضاءَ من خلع الرّضى

تخبرُ أنَّ العيش يلقاك أبيضا

She rejoices in it, white from shedding contentment,

Informing that living will meet you white.

ويا حبَّذا خضراء لمَّا لمستها

بكفٍّ رأينا الغيث في الحال روضا

Oh, the blessed green when we touched it

With a palm, we saw the rain immediately a meadow.

وما الغيث إلاَّ الطيلسان الذي حوى

بك الغيث هامي الجود والبدر قد أضا

The rain is none other than the pouring which contained

In you the rain, the clouds of generosity and the full moon shone.

أخا الشمس قد أذكرتني الشمس صاحباً

فأهلاً بمن وافى وسقياً لمن مضى

O brother of the sun, the sun reminded me of a companion

So hello to he who kept his promise and drink to he who passed.

لعمري لقد أبقى أخوكَ براحتي

نوالاً تقضَّيت السنين وما انْقضى

By my life, your brother kept you comfortable

With bounty, the years have passed and not passed.

فلا زلتَ سعد الدِّين للشمس مسعفاً

توفق وفقاً للسيادةِ مرتضى

You remain Saad El-Deen, the sun an ally

Succeeding, succeeding, sovereignty pleased.

فما منكما إلاَّ رئيسٌ وماجدٌ

فلا فرقَ بين الفرقدين ولا انْقضا

None but leader and gloried from you both

No difference between the two planets nor passed.
