Her cheek is attributed to the redness of the rose

And her garment's blue is attributed to lavender

Her lips were protected from the one who desires by her veil

Just as Indian swords protect the inviolability of land

My eyelids, when tears stream from them

For love of her are like the hand of al-Mu'ayyad in generosity

May God watch over the days of al-Mu'ayyad

Never in our lives have seasons of time ceased

A king whose knowledge equals his attainment

As though they are two seas that met upon a sea

O supreme king, I give you glad tidings of the approaching feast

And good tidings for all people in the rain from your palms in generosity

And I congratulated you on the feast whose sacrifice stood tall

Until your enemies made the feast into slaughter
