نادى الهنا قلباً قد كن في حذرٍ

إنَّ الشفاء على كلّ الأنام رضي

حاشا الوزير من الشكوى ولا برحت

قلوب أعدائهِ تشكو من المضض

حاشا الزمان الوزيري الذي جمعت

ذكراه اسماً وفعلاً غير منتقض

Far from the ministerial time that combined

يا سيِّداً سنَّ حدّ العزم مفترضاً

شرع الثنا نعم مسنون ومفترض

O master, the obligation of determination is assumed

The tradition of praise is a recommended and obligatory law

وللمدائحِ يا من شفَّ جوهره

في المكرمات فما تشكو من العرض

O you who healed the essence with honors

So it does not complain of presentation

لا ردَّ سهمك على نحرِ العداة ولا

نالوا من السهم ما راموا من الغرض

Neither does your arrow return to the neck of enemies

Nor did they get from the arrow what they wanted from the aim

صحَّت بصحّتك الدُّنيا فليس بها

غير الذي في جفونِ الغيد من مرض

The world was healed by your well-being, so there is no

Illness in it except what is in the eyelids of the afflicted
