لبست من المدائِح ثوب مجدٍ

قد انْقطعت عوارفه علينا

I wore the robe of glory of eulogies

Whose familiarity to us was severed

لها ردنان من نظمٍ ونثرٍ

ألا حييت عنا يا رُدَينا
