قلَّ عوني على الزمان فأصبح

تُ صبوراً على مراد الزمان

Say, "Help me endure time, that I may

Become patient with the will of time.

حابس اللفظ واليراع عن النا

سِ فلا من يديَّ ولا من لساني

Withholding speech and passion from people,

Neither from my hands, nor from my tongue."
