بصالحِ حمصٍ نستعينُ على الثنا

لديك ونرجوه لنظمِ المدائح

With the goodness of Homs we seek aid against adversity

It is with you, and we hope for it, for composing praises

ووالله ما نوفي أياديك حقّها

إذا نحن أثنينا عليك بصالح

And by God we do not repay your favors their due
