من منصفي من أناسٍ

فيهم تحيَّر ذهني

Who among people is fair to me

When they perplex my mind

لا درهماً وزنوه

وحاولوا الشرّ مني

They did not weigh me a single coin

And tried to find evil in me

وهل سمعتم بشعرٍ

يأتي على غير وزنِ
