وأغيد جارت في القلوب فعاله

وأسهرت الأجفان أجفانهُ الوسنى

أجلْ نظراً إلى حاجبيه ولحظه

ترى السحر منه قاب قوسين أو أدنى

Just gazing at his brow's curved line, her look

Saw magic there, two bow-lengths off or nearer.
