With my soul, a lover lived near the dust and found joy,

Wearing mourning for him, every lover donned,

He turned away, so the pulpits became desolate for me,

And for the foliage, grief flowed over every rod.

The singing of his pigeon reminds me of his beauty,

By God, the memory of an abode and a beloved.
