أقولُ لمعشرٍ جلدوا ولاطوا

وباتوا عاكفين على الملاح

I say to a group that endured and persevered

And spent the night persevering in sailing

لأنتم خيرُ من ركبَ المطايا

وأندَى العالمينَ بطونَ راح

You are better than those who rode the horses

And more generous than the two worlds in relaxation
