I ransom a gazelle from the Turks, whose glance
Has exhausted every master in the art of magic
A covenant was made in that moment to enchant me
Oh my sorrow, between a magician and an enchanter
It's as if the words of Fakhr al-Din have enveloped
A straight leg on which penetrating magic was cast
The one with prose and verse, how much sweetness he said
And that, by your life, what is the sweetness of the refuge
And the merit among people, how much did a disposition please him
And how much did it show sympathy to an ardent lover
O writer, you have left pens in turmoil
Composing spells embroidered on silk
Congratulate him, well done O granter
O my delight with this and suppress the spiteful
