أصبحت يا سيدي ويا سندِي

أقصُّ في أمر بغلتي القصصا

You have become, my master and my support,

بالأمسِ كانتْ لفرط سرعتها

طيراً وفي اليوم أصبحت قفصا

Yesterday due to her excessive speed,

She was a bird, and today she's become a cage.
