الحمد لله كلّ وقت

بقربِ مخدومنا هنيّ

Praise be to God at all times

In the vicinity of our protector there is delight

هنَّى دمشق وساكنيها ال

غيث والقادم الوفيّ

Delighted is Damascus and its loyal residents

Whether rain or the faithful visitor comes

إن جاءَ وسميّها سريعاً

فالآن قد جاءَها الوليّ

If he comes quickly name him

For the patron has now come to it
