مولايَ إنَّ الحالَ قد وصلتْ إلى

سطرين من بيتينِ قد ضمنّها

My Master, truly my state has reached

Two lines of two verses I composed

لم يبقَ عندِي ما يباع بدرهمٍ

إلاَّ بقيَّة ماء وجهٍ صُنَّها

I have nothing left that can be sold for a single coin

Except the remains of water on a guarded face
