وقفت على ورديِّ لفظٍ مبشرٍ

بما سوف من أنواعه الزهر يلقاني

I stopped at the rose garden of an auspicious word

Promising what kinds of flowers will meet me

فيا حبذا في شهرِنا من رياضِه

أوائل وردٍ في أواخر شعبان

So wonderful in our month are its gardens

The first rosebuds in the last days of Sha'ban
