فديتك للندى والعلم بحراً

إذا جارى نداه المزنُ غرّر

I sacrifice myself for the dew and the vast sea of knowledge,

When its generosity overflows, it leaves one dazzled.

كسوت العبد برداً من فخارٍ

حريريٍّ على العليا تحرّر

It adorns the servant with a cloak of earthenware,

Silken, embroidered with the most sublime insights.

تحرّر نظمه معنًى ولفظاً

فيا لله من بردٍ محرّر

The composition of its meaning and words are most eloquent,

What an exquisite cloak it is!
