سَقياً لَها مِن بِطاحِ أُنسٍ
وَدَوحِ حُسنٍ بِها مُطِل
May rain bless her, from the broad plains of delight,
and beauty’s leafy groves overlooking her.
فَما تَرى غَيرَ وَجهِ شَمسٍ
أَظَلَّ فيهِ عِذارُ ظِل
There you see nothing but the face of a sun,
upon which a shadow’s side-lock has cast shade.
