تُعزى إِلى الرَوضِ النَضيرِ

Have you seen which young girl

Is attributed to the blossoming garden?

أَهدى الرَبيعُ صَغيرَةً

مِنها تَهِشُّ إِلى الكَبيرِ

Spring has given a little one

Of it that smiles at the old man.

فَلَثَمتُها كَلَفاً بِها

وَالشَيخُ يَكلُفُ بِالصَغيرِ

So I kissed her openly

While the old man busies himself with the little one.
