1. وَمَعشوقَةِ الحُسنِ مَمشوقَةٍ

    يَهيمُ بِها الطَرفُ وَالمَعطِسُ

    And the beloved of beauty, so finely drawn

    The glance and the admiring eye are rapt with her

  2. لَها نُضرَةٌ سِمتُها نَظرَةً

    وَتَكلَفُ بِالأَنفُسِ الأَنفُسُ

    She has a bloom whose trait is a glance

    And the most precious souls vie for her

  3. فَمِن ماءِ جَفني لَها مَكرَعٌ

    فَسيحٌ وَمِن راحَتي مَغرِسُ

    So for her are two pools in my eyes

    A meadow and an orchard in my palm
