A lush, spacious garden

gives thanks for the clouds’ work.

باكرتها في سادة الـ

I visited it early, among the nobles of the

non-Arabs and Arabs together,

من كل موموق النُّهى

من كل موموق النُّهى

والحسن جمِّ الأدبِ

each beloved for his intellect

and beauty, rich in refinement.

والنهر قد شبَّ الشعا

والنهر قد شبَّ الشعا

عُ صفحهُ باللَّهبِ

عُ صفحهُ باللَّهبِ

And the river—radiance has kindled

its surface with flame—

صحيفةٌ من فضَّةٍ

صحيفةٌ من فضَّةٍ

قد موّهت بالذهبِ

قد موّهت بالذهبِ

is a sheet of silver

that has been overlaid with gold.
