With a supple, honey-sweet gait he approaches,
His eyes are washed clean of impurities.
He captivates the core of my heart, his words like roses,
Having descended in the shade of the evening.
As if he were a teardrop of afflicted water
Over which the breeze blew with a cool breath.
The doves gathered to his amorous talk,
A face like the dawn framed in dark tresses.
The rain weeps while the face of the earth smiles,
So the clouds are in mourning and the land celebrates a wedding.
He strives while my mind works as he carries
Wonder, how can the full moon walk with a lantern?
I passed the night while the clouds had spread their curtains
When the eyes of the shooting stars saw them like guards.
Is he not the full moon of nightfall that has whitened
With hoarfrost? The antelope of the thicket and the wild goat of the slopes are not more graceful than the lettuce.
