Pour the wine of vine, my friend, and avoid austerity
Or else you will not enjoy life as it passes rapidly
Like the sharp teeth of a file rubbing away
The youth returned to the old and decrepit
And it is strange that it could come back again
The spring adorned its clothes with necklaces
As if the breeze softly stirred the branches
The dew over the roses like tears that streamed down cheeks
The gardens opened their doors, confirming the cold
And its streams told of swords without scabbards
While the milk danced, and the doves cooed a song
With every lover singing to the tune of the lute and pipe
And a tavern girl who refused to give freely of her wine
Whose brightness revived yet her coyness killed
The gazelles adored her, resembling a bending, tender branch
And the cups were like stars rising over the horizon
The atmosphere strung its pearls over her lips
So remove the veil of worries, and dress life anew
It is the paradise of immortality, if only one could remain
