  1. لقد بوركت يا بن المبارك بلدةٌ

    لها منك نعمى أنفس وعيون

    You have been blessed, O son of the blessed, a town

    That has from you blessings of souls and eyes

  2. عدلتَ فما وجه الزمان بعابسٍ

    إليها ولا كفّ الحيا بضنين

    You have made justice, so the face of time is not frowning

    To it, nor the palm of life miserly

  3. ملأت قلوب العالمينَ مهابةً

    ولم لا وقد أصبحتَ ليثَ عرين

    You have filled the hearts of the two worlds with awe

    And why not, when you have become the lion of the lair

  4. هنالك أنفاسَ الثناءِ أريجهُ

    عليكَ وسرّ الحمد غير مصون

    There the fragrances of praise, its aroma

    Upon you, and the secret of praise not hidden

  5. فبشرى لدين أنت بدرُ سمائه

    لقد فقت بدر الأفق ضوءَ جبين

    So glad tidings to the religion, you are the full moon of its sky

    You have surpassed the full moon of the horizon, the light of your forehead

  6. وأهون بأخلاف الغمام حوافلاً

    لقد ملأت نعماك كل يمين

    And you have made the gatherings of clouds after the clefts lighter

    Your blessings have filled every right hand

  7. تلوح أمام الجيش شمساً منيرةً

    من النقع تجلى في سحائب جون

    Before the army you shine as a brilliant sun

    Revealed from spots in the clouds of beauty

  8. وتوضح سبلَ الجود حتى كأنها

    دجنة ظن في صباح يقين

    And clarify the paths of generosity as if they are

    A supposed treasure in the morning of certainty

  9. تقوم بحق الوفد والعهد قاعد

    وفياًّ بعهد المجد غير خؤون

    You stand by the right of embassy and covenant, steadfast

    Faithful to the covenant of glory, not failing

  10. إذا ما أديرت بالقوافي صفاتكم

    علينا فأبعد بآبنة الزر جون

    If your attributes are circulated with rhymes upon us

    It has distanced the farthest shooting star

  11. وإن ضلَّ ساري المدح في قصد غيركم

    سرى في صباحٍ من نداك مبين

    And if the thread of praise goes astray in other than your purpose

    It has flowed in a morning of your help, clear

  12. ولو لم تكن لازلت واسطة العلى

    لأصبح عقد الملك غير ثمين

    And if you had not been, you would still be the means of the Most High

    The necklace of the kingdom would not be precious

  13. فان نالني ما نالني من بعادكم

    لنأي حبيبٍ أو بعاد قرين

    So if I was afflicted with what I was afflicted, away from you

    To a beloved one or an intimate companion

  14. فلا ذاق قلبي سلوةً عن سواكم

    ولا طعمت غير السهاد جفوني

    So my heart has not tasted comfort without you

    Nor have my eyelids tasted other than wakefulness
