يقول ماذا ترى وفي يدهِ

مرآتهُ وهو ناظرٌ فيها

He asks, "What do you see?" and in his hand

Is a mirror in which he looks

قلتُ أرى بدراً في السماء وقـ

ـد أفاض نوراً على نواحيها

I said, "I see a full moon in the sky

That has poured light over its surroundings."
