I love one with downy cheeks, whose face
I love that bashful face
is a moon in the twilight glow of bashfulness.
A moon of shyness in the sunset glow

Dawn’s brocade was embroidered by the hand
The hand of beauty embroidered the robe of dawn
of beauty; so he beams with threads of dusk.
With threads of dusk woven to and fro
And the water of youth watered his cheek,
The dawn rain watered his garden
so the rose appeared among the leaves.
So roses bloomed amid the leaves below
