وأهيفَ مهضوم الحشا كاد رقصه
يُحكّمُ فينا السحر من كل جانب
And a slender youth, slim-waisted—his dancing almost
makes enchantment rule over us from every side.
يسيل به نقل الخطا فتردّه
رجاحة أعكان له ومناكب
The shifting of his steps sends him gliding, but he is held back
by the ample weight of his belly-folds and shoulders.
