1. للهِ من فوارة قد أرسَلتْ

    ماءً شهدتُ الرّيَ قبل ورُوُدِه

    God has sent forth a gushing fountain

    I witnessed the irrigation before its arrival

  2. فكأنّه والريحُ تخفِقُ حولَه

    وتَهابه فتكفُّ عن تجعيدهِ

    As if it and the wind fluttering around it

    And fearing it thus stopping wrinkling it

  3. قُمْ يا نديمي إِلى اللذاتِ مبتكراً

    فالدَوْح أصْبحَ فيه الزهر مُتقَّدَا

    Arise my boon companion to pleasures innovating

    For the meadow has become in it flowers ignited

  4. إِذا ثنى الغصنَ وقعُ الطير مُغْتَرِداً

    عليه صَفَّقَ فيه النهرُ مُطَّرِدَا

    If the branch bend the bird falls captivated

    Upon it the stream patter unremitting
