قد لَوى جيدَه حياءً وحيّا
بكؤوسِ المدام كأساً فكَأسا
He bashfully bent his neck in greeting
And drank from cups of wine cup after cup
فنفضتُ اليدين عن يانِعِ الزه
ر لمعنىً أجدَّ لي فيه أنسا
So I shook off my hands from the blossoming flowers
For I found in their meaning a charm
نُغْنُغٌ في نَصَاعَةِ الزَّهْرِ مَرْآ
ه لِعَيْني وكالحريرةِ مَسَّا
The murmuring of bees around the flowers
Is a mirror to my eyes and a soft touch
