تنقط منه الشمس في مسكة الثرى
مدبَّ عذار الظل من وجنة الترب
Where sunlight drips onto the earth’s skin
Spreading the shade’s perfume from the soil’s cheek
بِخيلانِ كافور الشعاع كأنما
ابتْ غير جلد النمر يُفرش للصحب
With steeds of camphor rays, as though
A tigerskin is spread for the comrades
