فأبرزتها عذراء في زِيّ غادة
تُرَفّ على وجه الدُعابة والهَزْل
She revealed herself, a maiden in the garb of a gazelle,
Her face glowing with playfulness and jest.
وما ثمَّ إِلاّ نبعَة الشعر نبعة
يرنّ بها طيرُ الفصاحة والنبل
Nothing but a spring of poetry, a spring
Where the birds of eloquence and nobility sing.
