1. ما للرياضِ تَنَمْنَمَتْ أدواحها

    وترنَّمتْ فوقَ الغصونِ فِصاحُها

    Why does the garden flutter its leaves

    And chirp above the branches in joy?

  2. وتدرَجتْ فوق الخمائلِ غُدْرها

    وتأرَجتْ بشذا العبيرِ رياحُها

    Why does it spread its flowers on the meadows

    And diffuse the fragrance of musk in its breeze?

  3. وترنْحت فيها الغصونُ صبابةً

    وافترّ عن شَنَبِ القِطار إِقاحُها

    The branches sway gently within

    As the flowing clouds part from their burden.

  4. أزهى بها الورْدُ الجنيُّ وأقبل ال

    عيسُ الرخيّ وجُددتْ أفراحُها

    The roses bloom, the Jasmine glows

    And the garden renews its delights.

  5. بقدومِ من نطقَتْ بمثل ثنائِه

    المنشورِ ما بين الورى أرواحُها

    With the arrival of one whose praise

    Makes souls across the world rejoice,

  6. وحكتْ خلائقهُ بلطْفِ نسيمها

    الواني الهبوب إِذا استبانَ صَباحُها

    Whose gentle breeze relates his virtues

    When the brilliance of dawn appears.

  7. هو نجلُ قدريِّ المبجل من له

    من دَوْحِة الحسَبِ الأثيلِ صُراحُها

    He's the esteemed son of my destiny,

    His resolve stems from noble roots.

  8. شهْمٌ إِذا ما المشكلاتُ تقاعَسَتْ

    ودَجَتْ فهِمَّتُه إِذا مفتاحُها

    When problems confound, his intellect

    Opens doors no key could unlock.

  9. لو شاهَدَتْ أقلامَه بيضُ الظبا

    لتقاصَرَتْ عن فعْلِهنَّ صِفاحُها

    If his fingers were witnessed by mirages

    Their waters would cease their flow.

  10. يُبدي الجميلَ ولا يحاولُ مِنَّةً

    جرْياً على شيمٍ يفيضُ سَماحُها

    He bestows kindness without expecting favors,

    Noble manners overflow from his being.

  11. ويباشرُ الأوطارَ إن جَمَحتْ على

    طَرَفِ التمامِ فيستقيمِ جِماحُها

    He undertakes matters, though they impose

    On the edge of achievement, his wings stay true.

  12. ذو فكرةٍ وقادَةٍ وطلاقةٍ

    في القولِ قد راقَ إِفْصاحُها

    With insightful ideas, leadership and eloquence

    His words are admired by all who listen.

  13. وأسرّة شرَقَتْ بكلِّ بشاشَةٍ

    حتى تحقق في الأمورِ نجاحُها

    And a family that shines with joy

    So all affairs conclude in success.

  14. فإِليكها يا من تسربَل وارتدى

    بفضائلٍ لم يُحْصِها مُدّاحُها

    To you, who wears and adorns himself

    With virtues unlimited by praise,

  15. بِكْرا نسيجةُ وقْتِها أربى علىال

    روضِ المفوّفِ ريطها ووشاحُها

    The loom of time has spun its prime

    Garment and cloak for you to wear.

  16. واسلم لنجلكَ ما تغَنَّتْ في الضحى

    ورْقٌ شجى قلب الخلىّ صياحُها

    And surrender to your son what the dawn has sung

    Leaves stirred a yearning heart to sing your glories.

  17. متفضِّلاً بقبولِها فلقد أتَتْ

    خجلَى ثَنتَها من ثنائكَ راحُها

    Please accept this humble verse

    Though it falls short of your greatness.
